Simon's Town (ZASMN)

The harbour is the primary base of the South African Navy and as such is not used by commercial vessels except in an emergency. Good anchorage in depths of 12.0-21.0m is found in the sheltered bay.

Simonstown is situated in False Bay approx 27nm S of Cape Town.

Largest vessel handled: "Alcantara" - 22,209DWT, 195m LOA, 9.0m draught.

Position will be advised after authority to enter False Bay has been given.
