General notices & regulations
The following restrictions are enforced for loading at the transfer station: ..... 1. Max vessel freeboard 17m 2. Max distance between centres of extreme holds, 216m 3. Max beam 55m, if distance between of extreme hatches is less than 187m and 52m, if distance is greater, up to 216m 4. Max vessel airdraught 17.2m 5. Export vessels arriving to load at the transfer station will arrive only with the ballast that can be safely discharged during a period of 24 running hours. Masters of vessels are requested to co-ordinate ballast discharging with the transfer Station Master 6. Vessels dock with starboard side alongside the port side of the transfer station, separated by large pneumatic type fenders attached to the transfer station. Vessels must warp itself alongside the transfer station using own winches/hawsers. Mooring hawsers will be worked by powered winch drums and will preferably be made of synthetic fibre. If they are made of wire, a 30m length nylon shock pendant will be provided on each hawser, with a soft eye on one end and the other end connected via special shackle (Tonsberg or Mandel) to the steel wire. 7. All vessels must utilise a Docking Master who will board the ship by launch or helicopter. Tugs are not available at the transfer station. Vessel's anchors are not to be used during approach or berthing manoeuvres, they may foul the transfer station's mooring system 8. The transfer station uses a gravity fed belt discharging system. Final transfer of cargo to the vessel is via a travelling shiploader with a 36m boom. The boom can be slewed outboard 100° from the centreline and the shiploader travels 187m along portside, eliminating the need for any shifting of the vessel while loading. A weight meter is installed in the loading system to establish the Bill of Lading figures. 9. It is not required to have a pilot onboard when undocking. Instructions will be given from the transfer station.
Health regulations
Pratique and Customs clearance can only be granted on arrival either at anchorage or on completion of berthing. Vessels coming from ports which have cholera will not be allowed to deballast overboard. A sanitary inspection is performed at the pilot station prior to entering port. Ship Sanitation Control and Exemption Certificates can be renewed.
Notices of readiness
NOR is tendered in accordance with the Charter Party. The normal place for tendering NOR is on arrival at the anchorage or all fast at the berth.
