North Pacific Winter Seasonal Zone, Winter Oct 16 to Apr 15, Summer Apr 16 to Oct 15.

Pelican is located on Chichagof Island, off Lisianski Inlet in SE Alaska's maritime panhandle.

Approx 1,800t of cargo handled annually.

From positions 0.2nm S, or 0.5nm W, from Milner Island (58°00.5'N 136°20.5'W) the approach routes lead SE, passing in mid channel SW, or NE respectively of Junction Island (58°00'N 136°19'W). Then continue in mid channel for approx 4.5nm. Pelican Entrance Light is exhibited on a rock lying 150m SW from the end of the breakwater on the SE side of the harbour.

Admiralty Pilot NP4.

Compulsory with few exceptions.

Pelican is a Customs station. For crew not to be detained onboard, each crew member must have a visa in their passport or Seaman's Book.
