Adak (USADK)

All of the infrastructure and facilities on Adak are owned by Aleut Corporation.

North Pacific Winter Seasonal Zone, Winter Oct 16 to Apr 15, Summer Apr 16 to Oct 15.

Adak is located on Adak Island. Kuluk Bay indents the NE side of Adak Island, between Thunder Point (51°51'N 176°28'W) and Zeto Point, 4.75nm NW. The port of Adak is situated at its head.

Admiralty Pilot NP23.

Compulsory, request for pilots should be sent 24 hours prior to arrival. Pilot boards 2nm E of Gannet Rks Light (51°52.1'N 176°36.4'W).

A naval restricted area is established in the NW part of Kuluk Bay, between the shore and a line drawn 2.5nm S from Zeto Point, then W to the head of the bay. Anchoring and fishing are prohibited in this area.

The Commanding Officer, US Naval Station, Adak, requires the following information at least 24 hours prior to arrival of a vessel in waters within 12nm of Adak Island N of Lat 51°47.15'N: ..... 1. Vessel's name 2. Port of registration 3. Name of owner 4. Number of persons of non US nationality onboard. Failure to comply may preclude entry to Adak Island waters except in an emergency.
