Pataholm (SEPHM)

Summer Zone for vessels over 100m in length and Winter Zone for vessels of 100m or less. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

Located 35km N of Kalmar on the S shore.

Vessels with local knowledge may obtain anchorage in depths from 9.0-12.0m, clay, W of Paslan Beacon (white cairn, staff and St Andrew's cross, 4.0m in height) which stands on an islet (56°54'N 016°31'E), situated on the NE side of the approach channel, 3nm SE of Pataholm. In the outer roadstead, 1nm SE of Pataholm, there are depths of 7.0m, mud and clay.

Approach from SE passing E of Eneskarsrvet, with a least depth over it of 1.5m, which lies 1.5nm SSE of Paslan Beacon. Paslan Beacon, in line with the SW side of Vaderon a wooded island 2nm NE of Pataholm, bearing 341°, leads NE of Eneskarsrevet, in a least depth of 5.5m. Bring Paslan Beacon a little inside the NE extremity of Pata Enskar, an islet 0.5nm NW of the beacon, bearing 329°. Steer on this mark, which leads between Yttre Paslan, least depth 3.4m, and a 6.0m patch 0.2nm W, which lie 1nm SE of Paslan Beacon. There is a 7.3m patch on the track 0.5nm farther SE. When 0.1nm from the beacon alter course W passing 0.2nm S of Paslan Beacon, and follow the buoyed channel to the harbour.
