Oaxen (Marina/Local Harbour) (SEOAX)

The port is currently closed to commercial traffic and is used as a yacht marina. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. The harbour is usually obstructed by ice from Jan-Mar.

Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

The island of Oaxen lies on the W side of the fairway through Himmerfjarden.

Draught 5.8m.

Anchorage may be obtained E of Oaxen in depths from 13.0-27.0m, clay. Vessels with local knowledge may obtain anchorage in depths from 10.0-22.0m, clay S or W of the island, clear of 2 submarine cables and a pipeline which are laid across the channel between Oaxen and Morko.
