📋 Port Overview

✓ ISPS✓ ECA
The Port of Degerhamn, strategically located on the southern coast of Oland, has played a pivotal role in the operations of the local cement factory since its establishment in 1888. The port serves as a critical logistical hub for the cement industry, however, in 2019 it was announced that there would be a reduction in production of cement at the Heidelberg Material site. Recognising the need for modernisation and protection, the port underwent significant reconstruction in the early 1890s. In 1892 and again in 1897, substantial improvements were made, culminating in the construction of two large breakwaters. The design of the port features an entrance channel from the South.
