Varandey (RUVAR)

The Lukoil's Varandey deep-water terminal has been operational since June 2008. The loading facility is approx 12nm off the Port of Varandey and is connected to onshore oil reservoirs by an underwater pipeline, through which oil is pumped.

Varandey is an oil export terminal located on the Barents Sea N coast of Russia.

Approximately 5,000,000t of crude oil are handled annually.

The average duration of ice cover is around 247 days throughout the year. Freezing temperatures up to -48°C can occur up to 240 days annualy.
