Hamad (QAHMD)

The port will serve as the main gateway for Qatar's trade, with 4km of quay and a 17.0m depth to accommodate large vessels. Equipped with 12 quay cranes, RTG's for containers and mobile cranes. The port will handle containers, general cargo, grain, livestock and vehicles.

Hamad Port is situated on the E coast of the Qatar peninsula, approx 32km S of Doha.

LOA 397.88m, beam 51.2m, draught 14.9m, 176,752DWT.

Approximately 1,570,000t of cargo, 1,300,000 TEU and 1,700 vessels are handled annually.

Pilotage is compulsory for all vessels calling the port. Pilot boards in position 25°10.7'N 051°42.8'E.
