The Antan production platforms are located several miles N of the terminal. The crude oil is transferred by pipelines to the Antan platform and then by hoses to the FPSO 'Nuim Antan'. From FPSO 'Nuim Antan' the oil is transferred to exporting tankers via a CALM Buoy. The tandem mooring method is only used if the CALM Buoy is non operational. If the CALM buoy is not in service the FPSO will moor bow to bow in tandem with export vessel with one or two mooring hawsers.

Load line zone
Tropical.
Location
FPSO 'Nuim Antan' is located about 20nm, off the SE coast of Nigeria in the Bight of Biafra, S of the Calabar River.
Max size
Max for export tankers 150,000DWT (Tandem) or 350,000DWT (CALM). Min size 60,000DWT. No draught restrictions.
