Mutsure (JPMTR)

Matsuura is an open port, protected by a breakwater, used for the importation of coal and oil to supply a power station. Port also handled fishing vessels.

Matsuura is situated on the eastern coast of Kyushu in Nagasaki prefecture.

LOA 239.99m, draught 16.3m, beam 38m, 130,000DWT.

Approx 7,000,000t of cargo and 12,000 vessels handled annually.

Draught limitation in the channel is 18.0m.

Pilotage is compulsory, and the pilot boards in position approximately 33° 28.00'N 129°41.00'E.

It is not possible to enter or sail from the port after sunset. Vessels are usually required to dock starboard side alongside the berth.

Max 2.54m, min -0.04m.

One 1,300hp tug available. Other tugs can be brought from Imari or Sasebo if required.
