Porto Cervo (ITPCE)

The port comprises a yacht harbour which is situated in a cove at the head of Porto Cervo. The cove is protected by a jetty extending ESE and SSE from the N entrance point. Numerous piers extend S from the N shore of the cove.

Porto Cervo is situated on Sardinia Island, 1.25nm SE of Capo Ferro.

As vessels cannot berth alongside, the recommended anchorage is in Porto Cervo Roads, 41°08.3'N 009°33.0'E. If there are unfavourable sea conditions, alternatives to the normal anchorage place are: ..... 1. Pevero Gulf Roads 41°07.7'N 009°33.2'E (sheltered from E-SE-S-SW-W-NW'ly winds); draught in roads approx 25m. 2. Liscia di Vacca Roads 41°08.9'N 009°30.2'E (sheltered from NE-E-SE-S-SW'ly winds). Passengers are allowed to go ashore with ships tender, distance from quay to Porto Cervo centre approx 5km, 2 mini shuttle buses must be used to reach Porto Cervo. 3. Cala di Volpe Roads 41°04.0'N 009°33.0'E (no passengers allowed to go ashore). It is permitted to use ship's tender to land passengers.

The port is entered between Punta Cervo and a point 0.1nm S. The N entrance point is marked by a light structure (white truncated conical tower, black bands) 6m in height. On the S side is a similar light structure (red bands). The N shore of the entrance is low and bare. The S shore is higher, a darker colour, and partly covered by clumps of bushes. The passage through the harbour entrance is indicated by the alignment, on a bearing of approx 252.5°, of two leading light beacons situated at the head of Porto Cervo; front (white mast on white square tower with black stripe) 8m in height, rear (white square tower with black stripe) 3m in height.

Lights are exhibited from each side of the entrance to the yacht harbour.

A speed of 3kts must not be exceeded within Porto Cervo.

The Customs allowance is 50 cigarettes for each officer and crew. No visas are required by the immigration officials, as well as no landing cards for passengers/crew, but all passports must be collected by the purser and handed to immigration officials upon arrival. Customs do not usually seal main bar, passenger bars, store rooms and shops, but no visitors are allowed.

Radio pratique is not available. Free pratique to be applied for by harbour master on arrival during daylight hours only. Ship Sanitation Control and Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificates may not be renewed.

It is not necessary to tender NOR for cruise vessels.
