Kattupalli (INKAT)

Kattupalli is a private port constructed by L & T Shipbuilding Limited, which is setting up a shipyard and a minor port complex, including a container facility. The port facility comprises of a 1.5km northern breakwater, 3km southern breakwater, 5km navigational channel to a depth of 15m and other harbour related infrastructure. The company has proposed to handle containers and also build offshore platforms, besides meeting defence requirement.

Kattupalli is 4km N of Ennore, in Tamil Nadu.

Approach channel has a width of 165m, depth 14m. Turning basin inside harbour has radius of 500m.
