Udang Natuna (IDUDG)

The port is currently closed for commercial operations. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. The Udang field in the east of Natuna began production in 1980, reaching 36,000bpd from two platforms in 1981, but is no longer operational.

The Udang Oilfield is approx 100nm W of Natuna Island in the South China Sea.

Max tanker acceptable 84,000DWT. Max reported draught 19.0m.

Vessels not scheduled to berth on arrival will be directed to the recommended anchorage 3.5nm WNW of Udang A.

Vessels berth port side to alongside the storage tanker. Vessels normally berth during daylight hours but may unberth at any time, weather permitting.

Pilotage is compulsory when mooring and unmooring. The Mooring Master acts as pilot.

A rectangular shape restricted area 2.6nm by 1.7nm has been established surrounding the terminal. Vessels are not allowed to enter the prohibited area around the terminal without the berthing master onboard.

1.5nm around the storage tanker and 0.8nm around each platform are restricted areas and anchoring is prohibited.

Udang Natuna is a FPSO Marine Terminal located at the Udang Oilfield, approx 100nm W of Natuna Island in the South China Sea. Pilot: Pilotage is compulsory when mooring and unmooring. The Mooring Master acts as pilot.

It is recommended to use Jakarta Radio for passing messages at long range, callsign "PKX". Working hours are 0001-0400hrs UTC on 8542kHz and 0001-1200hrs UTC on 8752kHz. Inmarsat communication is possible. VHF: Ch 16.

Immigration: All crew members must have a valid travel document.

Free pratique is granted on arrival. Ship Sanitation Control Certificate (SSCC) and Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificate (SSCEC) can be renewed at the major ports.
