βœ— ISPSβœ“ ECA
Par closed to commercial operations in January 2008. Information is retained should the port re-open. Par is a tidal port accessible only at or near high water. It is a harbour formed by 3 quays, Long Arm, Short Arm and West Arm, and a breakwater which shelters the harbour from strong winds. There are berths for 7 coastal vessels. Of these, three berths can accommodate vessels up to 85m. Owners are advised to contact the Port Authority or agent when fixing vessels close to this limit. Exports formerly included bulk and bagged clay, and bulk aggregate. Imports were oil and timber.
