The harbour area covers 3ha and provides 226m of quayage with a depth alongside of 5.63m (HW). The port is closed for commercial operations. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen.

Quimper-Corniguel port is located on the W coast of France, 80km S of Brest on the River Odet, downstream from the town of Quimper, 16km from the sea.

The river has a series of curves making the channel narrow in places. The passage called "Les Vire-Courts" makes it impossible to navigate vessels of more than 80m in length. Width of channel up river from sea varies from 80m to 152m. Depth at entrance is 6.1m.

Sand barges over 100t in the Inner Pilotoge Area. Outer Pilotage Area: The Pilotage zone of Concarneau-Odet is bounded by the following: 1. S Limit: Lat through Jument de Glenant Lightbuoy 47°38.8'N 004°01.3'W. 2. E Limit: Bearing 13.7° through Pointe de Raguenes Beacons 47°47.50'N 003°47.55'W and Ile Verte 47°46.3'N 003°47.9'W. 3. W Limit: Meridian through Men Ar Groas Light 47°47.8'N 004°12.6'W. Inner Pilotage Area bounded by the following: 1. E Limit: The line joining Pointe de Beg-Meil 47°51.4'N 003°58.4'W to the Ile aux Moutons 47°46.6'N 004°01.6'W. 2. S Limit: The line joining the Ile aux Moutons to the Men Ar Groas Light. Vessels should send the request for pilots and ETA 18 hours in advance (or on departure from the previous port if the voyage time is less) stating the following information: 1. Vessel's type 2. However, according to the sea conditions and pilotage instructions, vessels may be escorted by the pilot vessels or be given radio guidance to the Waiting Anchorage situated 1nm S of La Basse Rousse.

Vessels arriving at night must anchor outside the port entrance. It is dangerous to enter the river at night as there are no lights and the channel is restricted by yachts at anchor.
