Kalkkiranta (FIKAL)

Kalkkiranta port also known as Kalkstrand, is an industrial bulk port with the Sipoo lime works jetty in the port.

The port of Kalkkiranta is located on the NE coast of Helsinki, on the E coast of Finland.

Draught 3.0m.

Anchorage can be obtained in a depth of 3.0m close W of Djupsunde Leading lines, and about 0.5nm offshore.

Kalkstrand and the Sipoo lime works jetty are reached by a branch channel leading 4.7nm NE and N between the numerous islets and shoals of Sipoonselka. An alternative approach leads from the South Finland Winter Channel using the 6.1m connecting route to the leading lights of Fjardhall, then to the jetty. The jetty approach consists of a buoyed channel, 0.4nm from the jetty with an authorised draught of 3.0m.
