Denia (ESDNA)

The port is protected by two breakwaters and handles Ro-Ro cargo, ferry and passengers. It is mainly used by leisure and fishing craft.

Denia is situated about 80km SE of Valencia, approx 4.5nm WNW of Cabo de San Antonio.

LOA 135m, draught 5.0m.

There is safe anchorage for a vessels up to LOA 91m within in the harbour and larger vessels may anchor in depths of 12.0-18.0m in the roadstead. Area NW of the leading line to the port in depths of 20.0-26.0m and SE between 0.2-0.8nm from the leading line.

The entrance channel is dredged to a depth of 5m.

Compulsory for vessels over 50t. Boarding area 1nm from the N breakwater x 047°. Pilot boats are black with the letter "P" in white on either side and they fly a blue flag with the letter "P" in white on it. Pilots can be contacted on VHF channel 16 and board in position 38°52'N, 8°53'E. Advise ETA 6 hours prior to arrival at the pilot station, request from Gandia.
