The privately owned port consisting of N and S basins has dry and wet facilities, tankers loading from the Milstrand Oil Terminal. Navigation is all year round.

Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31.

Miiduranna is on the Tallinn Bay coast in the Baltic Sea.

LOA 196m, beam 32m, draught 12.5m, 45,000DWT.

Traffic in the Tallin Bay anchorages will be regulated by Traffic Control ''TALLIN VTS''.

The N basin is entered on the alignment 044.5° of leading lights. A light is displayed on the head of the N breakwater and two light buoys mark the NW limit of the entrance channel. The port is divided into two basins, the N basin has 2 quays and an oil jetty, the S basin has seven quays for small vessels and general cargo.

The agent shall ask the port administration permission for mooring 4 hours before arrival of the vessel.

Compulsory for vessels entering and leaving the port; 24 hour assistance is available and the request for a pilot should be made via agencies not later than 4 hours prior to arrival at the pilot station or departure from the port. A pilot can be ordered through VHF Ch 16 and VHF work Ch 71, callsign "LOOTSIJAAM", or Tel: +372 623 7790 or Fax: +372 623 7795.

Tidal range from +1.2m to -0.9m.

Vessels entering Tallinn Bay must make contact with coast radar station of Vessel Traffic Services Centre on the VHF channel 13, callsign "TALLINN TRAFFIC CONTROL".

Port Authority provides ice breaking tugboats.

Limits resulting from weather conditions: Mooring of tankers at Quay 10 is forbidden when NW - SE winds are greater than 29kts and the N-SE wind is greater than 29kts. Winds: The windy season usually lasts through October to November and can blow 54-58kts in gusts of 62-68kts. Ice: Ice can start at the beginning of December through to April.

Upon a vessel's arrival, the port border guard will be notified and will meet the vessel. Until the border guard arrives, no crew members, passengers, goods or items are to be brought to shore or allowed to leave the vessel. Alcohol and narcotic drugs on port territory are not permitted. Intoxicated persons have to be removed from port territory.

Masters must provide the following information before permission can be given to enter the port. ..... 1. Name of vessel 2. Country of origin 3. General measures 4. Real draught 5. Nature of cargo 6. Recipient of cargo 7. Purpose of entrances 8. Name of agent 9. Existence of any infection onboard the vessel. General Act The agent shall co-ordinate the vessel's time of entrance in to the port with the state agencies and the guarding inspector of the port. The agent will specify the place of mooring 1 hour before the vessel arrives. Vessels can enter the port only if they have the permission of the guarding inspector, otherwise the vessel will remain at sea until permission is given to enter.

Notification of arrival must be made to the port administration 72 hours before and specified 24 and 4 hours before entering the port. A vessel arriving in less than 72 hours shall notify the port administration not later than 1 hour after leaving the previous port. The agent shall notify the following national bodies at least 24 hours before the vessel arrives: ..... 1. Border Customs Post of Port of Miiduranna 2. Port Health Authority 3. Estonian Plant Production Inspectorate 4. Border Service 5. Veterinary & Food Board Service A vessel from foreign waters must ask permission 24 hours before entering the port.

Existence of any infection onboard a vessel and other relevant information must be communicated to the port administration before permission will be given to enter the port.
