Vierow (DEVIW)

Vierow is an industrial seaport used for the storage, transshipment and handling of dry bulk cargoes including; grain, fertiliser and animal feeds. Larger vessels unable to fully unload in Vierow, due to their draught, may complete the transfer at the Port of Mukran.

Vierow is located on the NE coast of Germany, near the Polish border.

Max LOA 128.6m, beam 18.2m, draught 6.5m and 9,661DWT.

Approx 586,000t of cargo and 172 vessels handled annually.

Speed limit of 10 km/h within the harbour.

Owners must register their vessel to Hafen Vierow GmbH no later than 1300hrs the day before the planned visit.

Vessels must inform Hafen Vierow GmbH of any dangerous cargoes and all necessary information before placing the order. The Harbour Master reserves the right to reject and demand the removal of any goods that endanger or do not guarantee safe transshipment due to their nature, characteristics and/or packaging. Berths are assigned by Hafen Vierow GmbH and will not necessarily correspond to the order of arrival at the port. Hafen Vierow GmbH reserves the right to relocate any vessel, whether that be to another berth or to leave the port with immediate effect. Disposal of ship's waste must be reported in advance to the Harbour Master. A special disposal company will be appointed in the event that more than 1 mі of bilge water/sludge is intended to be disposed.
