πŸ“‹ Port Overview

βœ“ ISPSβœ“ ECA
Protected by two breakwaters, each over 500m long, curving towards each other at the seaward end, the 85m wide entrance to the harbour provides instant shelter from the waters of the Fehmarbelt. The port has four ferry/rail berths operated by Scanlines for the Lloland-Fehmarn Ferry Service. The port has six ferry/rail tracks. However, only two of these, serving Dock Basin Berths 02 and 03, are now in operation with specially designed new trains and rail wagons able to transfer on and off the ferry services, alongside normal road vehicles. Tourists are also able to cease their rail journey at the Puttgarden Station and board the ferries as foot passengers using access ramps. After completion of the new Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link within six years, the ferry station will close.
