Yangzhou (CNYZH)

The port consists of three independent bodies, Yangzhou port, Jiangdu Port District and Yizheng Port District. Main cargoes handled at the port are steel, ore, minerals, grain, timber, container, coal and chemical fertiliser. Yangzhou is the second largest port for timber transhipment on the Yangtze. Yangzhou Yuanyang International Ports Co. operate the COSCO Pacific Container Terminal.

Yangzhou is located on the Changjiang (Yangtze) River N of Zhenjiang.

LOA 299.95m, beam 50m, draught 15.4m, 207,991DWT.

Approx 106,000,000t of cargo (including 18,000,000t of iron ore) and 600,000TEU handled annually.

Anchorage area for pilotage and quarantine: ..... 32°17.16'N 119°42.16'E 32°16.41'N 119°41.53'E 32°17.21'N 119°42.28'E 32°16.37'N 119°42.05'E Depth 10.0m; bottom, mud and sand. Port anchorage: Located inside port shoal in a depth of 10.0m, mud and sand bottom gives good holding. Vessels up to 25,000DWT can use the anchorage. Luochengzhou anchorage: Located inside No 2 Red Buoy with a depth of 10m, mud and sand bottom gives good holding. Vessels up to 25,000DWT can use the anchorage.

The buoyage system used in the Changjiang River is the Chinese National Standard system of buoyage.

Compulsory. Pilot service is available during daylight. Pilots board at Liuhe pilot anchorage. River Pilot boards in Baoshan Hangdao (31°26.32'N 121°129.18'N).

There is no possibility of entry or departure after sunset. Maximum recommended draught limit is 10.5m.

Max range 2.1m.

Four tugs available, 2 x 3,600hp, 1 x 2,640 and 1 x 1,670hp.
