Harbin (CNHRN)

Located in high altitude, the port is often frozen for 140 days each year.

Harbin is located on the S bank of the middle reaches of the Songhua River. It is one of the most important river ports open for foreign trade in NE China.

There are 2 anchorages in the port which can accept vessels up to 1,000DWT. Ships of 1,000DWT can normally enter and depart berths when the height of the water level in the channel and in front of the wharves reaches the designated level.

The designated water level is 112.74m (according to the sea level at Dalian).

There are 11 working boats totalling 2,558hp including 5 tugs of 1,648hp and 4 barges of 320DWT.
