Fuling (CNFLG)

The port consists of the Changjiang section and the Wujiang section. The Changjiang section is bounded by Shihuiyao and Yangduxi with a shoreline of 129km. The Wujiang section is bounded by Baitao Town and the mouth of Wujiang River with a shoreline of 26km. The overall land area is 260,000mІ and the overall water area is 630,000mІ. The harbour area: This area is located on the Changjiang River. It is bounded by Lidu Kongdong Bridge and Huangjiaozui. The main cargoes handled in the port are coal, petroleum, iron and steel, ore material, chemical fertiliser, agricultural chemical, manufactured goods for daily use and local products.

Fuling is located on the upper reaches of the Changjiang (Yangtze) River, at the confluence of the Changjiang River and Wujiang River.

There are 19 anchorages available.

The highest water level of the Changjiang River is 172m and the lowest is 134m.

Prevailing wind: NE'ly. The max wind speed over the year is 46kts and the average is 2kts. Rainfall: Average annual rainfall is 1,073mm. Mist: There are on average 38 days of fog annually, mostly occurring in the winter with heavy fog in the morning. Ships and port operations are affected. Temperature: Average temperature over the year is 18°C. The highest temperature recorded is 42°C and the lowest is -2°C.
