Bahe (CNBAH)

The port is important for the shipment, storage and transhipment of sand. It has an overall shoreline of 4km with a water area of 1,400,000mІ and a land area of 325,000mІ.

The port of Bahe is located on the N bank of the middle reaches of the Changjiang (Zangtze) River, on the confluence of the Ba River and the Changjiang River, 110km from the port of Wuhan, 19km from the port of Huangshi and 965km from Wusongkou, the Changjiang sea entrance.

The average water level of the Changjiang section in the port is 16m. The highest water level is 26.6m and the lowest is 8.9m.

Wind: The annual average wind velocity is 7.6kts and the max is 35kts. Wind occurs SE'ly in the spring, summer and autumn and NE'ly in the winter. Rainfall: Average annual rainfall is 1,318mm. Ice: The port is ice free.
