Payra (BDPAY)

The port is currently comprised of a jetty that provides coal for the local power plant. First cargo was achieved on 26th September 2019. With extensive development still underway, Payra Sea Port is expected to be fully operational by 2023.

Payra Sea Port is located in the Meghna Estuary at Rabnabad Channel in the Patuakhali district.

Draught 12.0m, LOA 190m, beam 32.26m, 48,897DWT.

Approx. 4,000,000t of coal is anticipated to be imported annually for a period of 10 years.
