πŸ“‹ Port Overview

βœ— ISPSβœ— ECA
Reported, this port is being re-opened following its sale to CU-River Mining from Flinders Power. The new owners plan to turn the site into a bulk commodity transhipment facility. Up to 100 permanent jobs will be created once the $Aus250 Project is complete. Cargoes will include iron ore and grain. Barges will be loaded at the port and then sail to deep water in Spencer Gulf to unload on to larger, Cape-sized vessels some of which will have a capacity of up to 175,000 tonnes. CU-River Mining also has plans to build a large-scale solar farm on the site.
