Okha FPSO (AUOKH)

FPSO 'Okha' is a turret moored converted tanker with an oil capacity of 153,246mі. Woodside have replaced FPSO 'Cossack Pioneer' with the converted tanker FPSO 'Okha', which commenced operation in Sept 2011. The riser turret mooring (RTM) refurbishment project completed at the end of 2019 to extend its field operational life to the year 2031.

Max LOA 251m, BCM 139m, 150,000DWT.

Anchorage may be obtain at Glomar Shoal, approximately 20nm to the E with depths of 22-30m.

Pilotage is compulsory. Pilot boards in position 20°24.0'S 116°42.9'E. The pilot will contact vessels 1 hour prior to pilot boarding.

Offtake tankers should avoid anchoring within 5nm from either side of the flow line connected to the sub-sea well NNE of the facility extends from 19° 27.0'S 116°29.20'E to 19° 35.4'S 116° 26.7'E or within 5nm of the well head (9° 27.0'S 116°29.20'E). Offtake tankers should avoid anchoring within 5nm from either side of the export gas pipeline runs between the facility and North Rankin "A" extends from 19° 30.0'S 116°08'E to 19° 40.0'S 116° 27.0'E. Offtake tankers should avoid anchoring within the area bounded by 19° 25.0'S 116°08.0'E to 19° 40.0'S 116° 30.0'E to avoid damage to sub sea flow lines and inter platform pipelines. Offtake tankers that wish to drift should remain within VHF range and keep at least 5nm away from Okha adjacent platform and pipelines.

The region may be affected by several cyclones a year usually from Nov to Apr. The prevailing winds are Easterly in winter (May-Aug) and South Westerly in summer (Oct-Mar). The Okha FPSO has a turret mooring system which can be disconnected in severe weather to allow the facility to safely sail away from it's mooring.

ETA messages are required by the terminal at least 72 hours and again at 48, 24 and 12 hours before arrival.

Notice of Readiness (NOR) may be tendered when the Offtake Tanker has arrived at the Port of Dampier. Receipt of the Tendered Notice of Readiness (NOR) will be acknowledge by the pilot when he is satisfied that all the Terminal requirements have been adhered to and that the Offtake Tanker is ready to load. Notice of readiness will not be accepted when the Terminal status is "Restricted" or "Closed".
