📋 Port Overview
✓ ISPS✗ ECA
Hay Point is one of the largest coal export ports in Australia, located on the central coast of Queensland. It primarily serves the nearby Bowen Basin, which is one of the world's richest coal reserves. The port has two coal terminals, Hay Point Coal Terminal (HPCT), operated by BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA), and the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT), operated by the Queensland Government. The port facilitates the export of metallurgical and thermal coal to global markets, especially in Asia. It features offshore trestle jetties that connect to deep-water berths, allowing large bulk carriers to load coal.
