The port is currently closed for commercial operations. Information for the port is retained should the port reopen. The port formerly had facilities for fishing and pleasure craft. No commercial traffic is handled by the port.

Coffs Harbour is situated on the E coast of Australia midway between Newcastle and Brisbane.

There is an occasional heavy swell in the harbour, vessels consequently use anchors at their berth.

Depth at the entrance is 9.0m, no bar.

Range 1.7m.

There are no tugs available.
